Chief Digital Officer Donald Patrick L. Lim is leaving the media giant to join Dentsu Aegis Network Philippines as chief executive officer.

In a statement posted on its Website on Wednesday, Dentsu Aegis Network announced Mr. Lim will succeed Angelito “BoyP” Pangilinan as CEO, effective April 3.

Mr. Pangilinan was appointed as non-executive Chairman “focusing on industry relationships and training and development.”

“It’s now time to accelerate our journey and unlock our full potential with next generation leadership that can move freely between creativity, data and media. Both BoyP and I agreed that Donald Lim embodies all these qualities and has an excellent track record driving transformational growth by knowing where the industry is headed to and building high performance teams to get there,” Dick van Motman, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Southeast Asia, was quoted as saying.

At ABS-CBN, Mr. Lim led the group’s digital transformation, spearheading projects such as the Digital Marketing Periodic Table, and the YouTube multi-channel network Chicken Pork Adobo.

Prior to joining the media giant, Mr. Lim was Chief Innovation Officer role at McCann Worldgroup Philippines and Managing Director of MRM//McCann.

“With Donald’s extensive digital leadership background I’m confident that Dentsu Aegis Network Philippines is well set to grow and I look forward to working with him,” Mr. Pangilinan said.
